The Vienna based Songwriter James Choice writes songs with big emotions. They range from sparse folky songs with just his voice and guitar to cracking rock tunes in a full band setting. 

After splitting up with his backing band of five years, the Bad Decisions, in October of 2019, he is now back with a new band supporting him live. Bernd Faszl on the guitar, Thomas Böck on the Bass and Severin Posch on the drums, as well as the Vocal Trio, consisting of three members of the Schmusechor, Verena Giesinger, Marlene Stocker and Mave Venturin. 

After the Debut EP „Kathleen“ (2014) he went on to release two further EP’s „The Black & The Whole“ (2015) as well as the self titled EP „James Choice & the Bad Decisions“ (2016) and released their first Full length Album „The Something In Nothing“ in 2018, all together with the Bad Decisions. They also managed to convince audiences all over Europe while touring with their rousing live shows. Most notably the shows at the Nova Rock Festival (2016) and the Manchester Punk Festival (2019). In November 2020 he released the first new single „Carry All your Weight“ (produced by Georg Gabler at the Gab Music Studios in Vienna), giving a hint towards what to expect of the new album which will be released in late 2022.

James Choice still feels a strong connection to his musical roots in the DIY-Punk Scene but likes to mix it all up with sophisticated alternative rock writing as well as catchy Folk-Elements. The Lyrics use up the whole space between Euphoria and Depression and with the strength of his voice he manages to get all the frustration, the modern world has to offer, off of his chest while still staying hopeful.
